Neptun and the early pieces

A short interview in English from December 2016, for the international publication Watch I Love. Asked for his favourite piece, Augustin Matei picks Neptun, one of his first sketches.

He explains the dial techniques, micro-engraving, micro-sculpture and micro-painting, and goes through other pieces of those years: Da Vinci's human proportions, Saturn, Meteorite, Navigator.

He also talks about plans: a piece dedicated to Vlad the Impaler, intended for 2017, with a coffin-shaped box, and a dream watch, with a titanium case and micro-sculpture in gold.
