Five years of dials

A report from November 2020 in Pucioasa, where Augustin Matei had been working on dials for five years, in a craft he taught himself. The article goes through the materials of the pieces, silver, gold, stone and fragments of meteorite, and the Swiss automatic movements he usually works with.

Two pieces that travelled far are mentioned: one for Jean-Claude Van Damme, sent by courier in the middle of the pandemic, and one for Pope Francis.

Adevărul also presents him as the author of the first stained-glass watch and the first hourglass watch in Romania; he made the second together with Adrian Sîrbu, based in London.
